Mentors for Microentrepreneurs

Although the information and service that we provide to our clients in starting and maintaining their small business is invaluable, sometimes they need some weathered advice from someone in their own industry, someone who has "been there, done that". For this type of help, send your client to MicroMentor.

According to the MicroMentor website, "MicroMentor connects low-income business owners - called "microentrepreneurs" - to individuals who have successfully navigated business ownership or management in the same industry. Although there are some existing mentoring opportunities available to business owners, MicroMentor is the only one that utilizes technology to pair two people in the same industry."

Thank you for posting about MicroMentor! I’m an AmeriCorps volunteer at the aforementioned MicroMentor.org. MicroMentor is a nonprofit program that matches entrepreneurs with business mentors through a unique web-based platform that allows individuals to search for a mentoring match based on location, gender, industry experience or business expertise. This program is free and open to the public, so I encourage you to sign up to be a mentor or to find a mentor, and to tell all your friends! Just go to www.MicroMentor.org and follow the links. Also, please feel free to email info@micromentor.org if you have any questions. Thank you! Leah
