Extension of NYS Tax Filing Due Dates for Victims of Hurricane Sandy

The New York State Department of Taxation and Finance today announced the additional extension of certain tax filing and payment deadlines for taxpayers directly affected by Hurricane Sandy.

Definition of a small business in the state of New York

Consolidated Law for the State of New York



Economic Development Law § 131



§ 131. Definition of a small business. For the purposes of this chapter, a small business shall be deemed to be one which is resident in this state, independently owned and operated, not dominant in its field and employs one hundred or less persons.
