NY firm Sound Roof Systems is National Subcontractor of the Year
In FY15, the federal government awarded 25.75 percent or $90.7 billion of all federal contracts to small businesses which translates to more than 537,000 jobs supporting revenue for the job creators who produce 2 out of 3 net, new private-sector jobs in the U.S. economy.
The two small businesses were selected from among ten regional prime contractors and 10 regional subcontractors of the year. The awards honor small businesses that provide outstanding goods and services to the federal government as prime contractors or as subcontractors.
This year’s winners are:
• Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year: Founded in 1947, McLaughlin Research Corporation (MRC) is a family-owned, small business prime contractor with over 70 years of experience providing engineering and technical services to the U.S. Navy.
